Velara Textiles manufactures wholesale duvets and comforters for hotel groups, bedding distributors, and private label retail brands. Our production covers a full range of fill weights, from 4.5 tog summer duvets through to 15.0 tog winter-weight products, enabling buyers to build a complete seasonal bedding programme from a single supplier.
All duvet shells are produced in-house from 100% cotton fabric woven at 200TC or 300TC, ensuring the outer fabric is breathable, OEKO-TEX certified, and consistent with the quality of the bedsheets it is paired with. Shell construction includes baffle box, channel, and sewn-through quilting options depending on fill weight and price point requirements.
Fill Options
We supply duvets with three fill types. Microfibre fill is our entry-tier, lightweight, hypoallergenic, and suitable for high-rotation hospitality use. Hollow fibre fill offers greater loft and warmth retention and is preferred for mid-market retail programmes. Down-alternative cluster fibre fill delivers a premium hand feel that closely approximates genuine down at a fraction of the price and without the animal welfare concerns.
Comforters
Comforters are sewn-through quilted, a single-layer construction without baffling, providing a flat, decorative finish that sits on top of the bed. We produce comforters in both plain and patterned shells, including printed and jacquard-woven top panels for decorative bedding programmes. Standard fill weight is 300 to 400 GSM.
Sizes and Custom Options
European and US sizing standards are both supported. Custom dimensions are available. Shell fabric colour, piping, and corner tab options are confirmed at enquiry. Private label labels and packaging are available on qualifying volumes.

For high-rotation hospitality, microfibre fill is the most practical, it is machine-washable, hypoallergenic, and maintains its loft over repeated laundering better than natural fills at a cost-effective price point. For luxury hotel positioning, our down-alternative cluster fibre provides a premium hand feel that is virtually indistinguishable from genuine down.
Can you produce duvets to a specific tog rating?
Yes. We produce to specified tog ratings within our standard range of 4.5, 7.5, 10.5, 13.5, and 15.0. Custom fill weights outside this range can be quoted. Tog is confirmed at the sampling stage.
Do you produce matching duvet cover sets?
Yes. Duvet covers in matching sateen or percale fabric are produced in our bedding division. Complete bed sets, duvet inner, duvet cover, flat sheet, and pillow covers, can be ordered as a programme from a single SKU list.
What is the difference between a duvet and a comforter?
A duvet is a quilted insert used with a separate removable cover. A comforter is a decorative quilted item that sits on top of the bed and typically does not require a separate cover. We manufacture both; the right choice depends on your bedding programme and target market.
